Pink Gecko Productions Costume Terms of Service
Please read this entire document before asking for a quote or ordering.
Ordering information:
You must be 18 years old or older in order to commission me. This is due to legal reasons and the difficulty of building costumes for younger people who are still growing.
Agreeing to commission me confirms that you agree to my terms of service.
35% must be paid up front and is non-refundable on any project over $100. Payments can then be made weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. There is no minimum payment during the payment plan period, but do remember your costume will not be completely finished for you until full payment is completed. Full payment must be completed within six months, unless other arrangements are made, or I reserve the right to cancel the commission. Shipping is an additional $30 within the US and includes insurance and delivery confirmation. If I cancel the commission, I will refund the amount paid, minus the cost of supplies purchased and work completed.
Any project under $100 must be paid in full up front unless another payment plan is arranged ahead of time.
I accept payment via PayPal. Once the commission has been agreed upon I will provide you with my Payment information.
You MUST provide me concept art of your character that shows all body markings, hair, etc. so that they are easily visible. General artwork of your character is also allowable so long as it shows all of your character's markings correctly.
It is very important that the concept art provided be exactly what you want your costume character to look like. This way I can build the costume appropriately. I will give progress pictures along the way for you to approve. If you decide that I need to make changes that require for me to go back and redo certain parts, I have the right to charge for any new supplies I need to purchase, along with extra labor to make the changes.
I require a duct tape dummy for all full-costumes. I also recommend duct tape patterns for hand paws that are up the lower arm or above the elbow to ensure good fit. You can find a good tutorials on how to make a duct tape dummy here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhsTAFIwHEw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coradGn8wNY
Please do not ask for me to make a copyrighted character. (This means characters that are seen in games/TV/Movies etc.) Also do not ask for me to make copies of other costumes you see. Every costume is a one of a kind work of art.
I have the right to decide who I will build for and who I won’t, so please do not be offended. If I don’t feel I can provide you with what you would like, it is best to send you elsewhere where you may have your character better portrayed.
Disclaimer:
I am not liable for bodily harm resulting from you wearing the costume. This is not limited to just heat stroke or injury. You should always be careful and keep someone with you when wearing your costume for your safety. Know your limits on heat and duration and monitor your costume for wear and tear.
I do have dogs in my house. Although I do not allow them to come in contact with the costumes, allergens can still get on the costumes since the dogs have free roam in other areas of the house. If you have mild allergies, let me know and I will do my best to keep the costume and package away from the areas where my dogs live. If you have severe allergies to dogs, I would recommend you order from someone else as I do not want you to get sick or hurt from the dogs being around the costume. If you still would like to go ahead with ordering, I am not liable for any illness or injury resulting from allergic reactions to the costume.
Quality Guarantee:
Please inspect your costume immediately upon receipt. If anything needs repaired, I will cover the labor and new material expenses at that time. If the package itself arrives to you damaged, please let me know. I insure all packages and can contact the shipping provider to assist in resolving any issues caused by damage during shipping.
